Fun for beginning and amateur musicians

This app is a really good app if you want to get into singing. Its autotune feature is not the best, but the packs and downloadable content are awesome. It has a decent variety of genres, but the developers need to add jazz, funk, blues, and death metal to expand it even more. Because they provide the background music for you, advanced compositional skills really are not necessary; all you need to be able to do is write a good melody and lyrics. If you want to impose your will more greatly unto the music, you can mix up to eight pre-recorded instruments per song, with each phrase being four bars long and in 4/4 time.

The online feature is a social network for amateur musicians, where you can follow musicians, like and comment on their songs, and upload your own songs. As of March 2015, the greatest artist on SongMaker is The Meowerz, and the greatest song on SongMaker is Doctor Who? by Ashley Johns.
